As we all know, cats are an integral part of our lives. They bring us joy, comfort, and companionship like no other animal can. However, there is a growing concern about the number of stray and abandoned cats in shelters across the country. At Bluffton College, we believe that every cat deserves a loving home, which is why we are committed to promoting cat adoption.
By adopting a cat from our shelter, you will not only be giving a deserving animal a second chance at life but also opening up space for another cat in need. Our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before being adopted out, ensuring that they receive the best possible care.
While some may argue that cats are aloof or independent, research has shown that owning a cat can have numerous physical and mental health benefits. Studies have linked cat ownership to reduced stress levels, improved mood, and even lower blood pressure.
In addition to these benefits, having a cat can also encourage social interaction and a sense of responsibility in children. Our college community is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students, including those with disabilities.
At Bluffton College, we take our responsibility to ensure the welfare of cats in our care very seriously. Our shelter is fully accredited by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) and adheres to the highest standards of animal care.
We also work closely with local organizations and rescue groups to provide support and resources for cat owners who may be struggling to care for their pets. By working together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of cats in our community.
